into a definitive agreement with Great Bear Resources Ltd. (

) to acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of the latter through a plan of arrangement. This will see Kinross acquire Great Bear’s flagship Dixie project in the Red Lake mining district of Ontario, Canada. J. Paul Rollinson, Kinross’ President and CEO, commented:
