Paramount Global (NASDAQ:PARA), the parent company of Content for Change, is partnering with CBS Sports to elevate social initiatives and showcase the positive impact of National Football League (NFL) teams and players in their communities.
As part of this collaboration, a series of vignettes will air during CBS’ Super Bowl season on THE NFL TODAY, shining a spotlight on various social issues and the commendable work undertaken by NFL teams.
The inaugural vignette in the series featured Jacksonville Jaguars’ coach Tony Gilbert, highlighting Diversity in Education as a crucial aspect of the Jaguars’ Inspire Change efforts.
This partnership places a strong emphasis on diversity, mental health, community engagement, and social justice. It aligns with the broader objective of using storytelling as a means to drive positive change and reshape narratives.

Paramount+ Focuses on Sports Content to Bolster Viewer Engagement
Paramount+, Paramount Global’s streaming service, is making a significant investment in sports content, with plans to broadcast over 1,000 live events annually. The service has already secured streaming agreements with numerous college and professional leagues.
In the second quarter, Paramount+ saw a 47% year-over-year increase in revenues, driven by subscriber growth and heightened advertising revenues. The platform boasts approximately 61 million subscribers, with an additional 0.7 million added in the quarter.
Notably, Paramount+ holds exclusive rights to one of the most prestigious soccer competitions, the UEFA Champions League. UEFA Champions League Today, CBS Sports’ live pre-match, halftime, and post-match studio show, will stream on Paramount+ and air on CBS Sports Network. Paramount+ will broadcast every match, with select matches also airing on CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Golazo Network, a 24-hour soccer streaming network.
Beyond UEFA matches and the NWSL, Paramount+ has secured English-language rights to five additional soccer properties. Users can enjoy numerous Concacaf matches, including those from the Concacaf Nations League, Gold Cup, Champions League, and World Cup Qualifying Matches.
Paramount+ offers access to all 380 matches from Argentina’s Primera Division, the country’s top soccer league, each year. The platform also showcases over 360 games annually from Brazil’s Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A soccer league, among other sports content.
Basketball enthusiasts can catch the NCAA March Madness college basketball tournament, including games broadcast on CBS, via Paramount+. Golf fans are in for a treat with coverage of major tournaments such as The Masters, PGA TOUR events, and the PGA Championship available on the platform.
Paramount+ is catering to the diverse tastes of sports fans, offering an array of sporting events and competitions to engage viewers across various disciplines.
