PepsiCo (NASDAQ:PEP), in preparation for the launch of newly branded goods to celebrate the 125th anniversary of its founding, changed its corporate logo on Tuesday for the first time in over a decade.

The new brand identity will have an updated color palette, including the addition of black to indicate an enhanced emphasis on the company’s low-sugar goods. The redesigned logo, which will be the first one introduced in the last 14 years, is scheduled to debut in North America in the autumn of this year, followed by a release everywhere else in the world in 2024.

According to Pepsi’s Chief Marketing Officer Todd Kaplan, “Pepsi is an iconic brand that is continuously developing with the times,” as the company has been a mainstay in pop culture and a market disruptor for the last 125 years. “Pepsi is constantly evolving with the times” “We couldn’t be more thrilled to begin a new era for Pepsi. This exciting new and contemporary appearance will push brand differentiation to appear larger and bolder and help consumers discover new ways to unabashedly enjoy the things they love. ” “We couldn’t be more eager to begin a new era for Pepsi.” This new visual system pulls out the best of the Pepsi brand’s rich past while also taking a great leap ahead to position it up for success in a world that is becoming more digital.

The corporation made certain statements, one of which alluded to efforts to upgrade the brand. The emphasis on reinvention was underlined in those comments. The beer giant has invested in Web3 and the metaverse, which also encompasses them.

On other parts of its website, the business emphasized the need for environmentally friendly packaging going ahead.

According to a statement released by the company, “Pepsi plays a critical role in achieving the PepsiCo Positive, sustainable packaging targets,” and beginning in 2022, “Pepsi has begun to convert all 20oz bottles of Pepsi, including Pepsi Zero Sugar, to 100% recycled PET.” This change will take place in the United States.
